From clunky to clickable. Canales Furniture Shopify revamp
Challenges
Canales Furniture, a retailer with a significant physical presence across 21 locations (growing to 23 during our website development), was struggling with a very outdated, clunky, and disjointed Shopify website. This dated online experience hindered brand awareness and limited the generation of quality leads. The existing site lacked clear navigation and the ability to effectively cater to their geographically diverse customer base.
Solutions
Web Loft Designs undertook a complete rebuild of Canales Furniture's online presence on a streamlined and user-friendly Shopify platform. Key improvements included the implementation of intuitive mega menus, drastically enhancing website usability and allowing customers to easily navigate their extensive product categories.
To tailor specific aspects of the shopping experience to their geographically diverse customer base, we implemented a IP address detection and location strategy. This allowed us to enhance Product Detail Pages (PDPs) to dynamically display relevant showroom visit options and shipping/delivery scheduling based on the user's detected physical address.
Furthermore, we began working on SEO strategies even while the old website was live and achieved outstanding results even before the new site launch.
Results
Even while optimizing Canales Furniture's outdated and poorly functioning website, our initial SEO efforts delivered a significant increase of approximately $170,000+ in online sales before the new website even launched. This early and substantial revenue growth underscores the immediate impact and effectiveness of our SEO strategies.
With the launch of the new, user-centric Shopify website, now equipped to handle 23 locations through IP detection and offering greatly enhanced PDPs with location-aware options and intuitive mega menus – we anticipate even more substantial improvements in online visibility, lead generation, and sales conversions.
