KT&G is ranked 5th among international tobacco manufacturers in the global market and has over 130 years of history in the market. They were founded in 1883. They entered the US market with the introduction of the Carnival line of cigarettes in 1999 and then launched the Timeless Time brand in 2010. KT&G USA is Headquartered in Plano, Texas and currently ships to over 40 States through 450+ distribution partners. However, work was needing to be performed on their tobacco website to their brand vibrant and relevant.
KT&G USA engaged Web Loft Designs to improve their tobacco website by enhancing the user experience and creating a better lead generation for their specific target audiences of individuals and trade partners. Web Loft Designs developed the website to highlight the three brands of cigarettes offered in the US market and make CTAs for finding a store location, contacting KT&G for information about general inquiries or becoming a trade partner, and to review open employment opportunities and apply for a position. Web Loft Designs created a custom design and developed website using the WordPress platform and focused on a mobile-first audience as users are inclined to use their phone or tablet devices more often than a computer. Web Loft Designs also focused on creating a website that was ADA compliant by utilizing the Userway Accessibility Plugin that integrates directly with WordPress. KT&G USA also had a requirement that users must identify their age before accessing the content on their website. This was accomplished by using the custom version of the AgeVerify plugin for WordPress.
Web Loft Designs delivered a smokin’ website that is highly rated for speed on desktop and mobile devices. Web Loft Designs also made sure to do on-page SEO at site launch to optimize the website for search engines. KT&G was extremely please with the project and even gave Web Loft Designs a 5-star Google review!
